pH 7.5 +/- 0.2 at room temperature

Add nitrilotriacetic acid to 500.0 ml distilled water. Dissolve by adjusting pH to 6.5 with KOH. Add remaining components and mix. Adjust pH to 7.5. Bring volume to 1.0 L with distilled water.

FeCl₃ solution:
FeCl₃ 6H₂O 2.28 g
Distilled water to 1.0 L
