Geomar at the Institute for Marine Studies Kiel (IfM Kiel). Its purpose is to study biological processes in the pelagic ecosystem.

Shoals Marine Laboratory run by Cornell and University of New Hampshire. Information about their program and studying marine science in their facility.

Checklist of phytoplankton in the Skagerrak-Kattegat. Has information on phytoplankton and heterotrophic protists found in the Skagerrak and the Kattegat, N. Atlantic Ocean. Contains, images, references, and information regarding diatoms, dinoflagellates, and other plankton.

Synechocystis 6803 is the subject of this site from the Microbial Cell Project dedicated to this model organism. The site includes general information about 6803 and detailed information about individual efforts at the center.
