Aiba and Ogawa (AO) Medium

This media is prepared as two separate solutions to avoid precipitation:

Solution A:
NaCl1.0 g
MgSO4·7H2O0.2 g
K2SO41.0 g
CaCl2·2H2O40 mg
NaNO32.5 g
FeSO4·7H2O10 mg
Gaffron micronutrients1.0 ml
Deionized water to500 ml

Solution B:
K2HPO40.5 g
Na2CO34.03 g
NaHCO313.61 g
Deionized water to500 ml
After autoclaving, mix Solution A and Solution B asceptically. Final pH 9.4-9.8.

Co(NO3)2·6H2O0.146 g
